The cove of Kalantos is located in south part of Naxos.
It is one of the most protected from the wind bays of the island.
Kalantos is a beautiful beach with the sea in the one side and a small lake in the other. It is an excellent scene, with aureate sea water.
From the beach you can see opposite houses in Irakleia.
At the time a wharf is built. If you are a sea-traveller and sail between Irakleia and Naxos you will feel a call for anchoring at Kalanto.
You have to travel 20km to reach Kalantos from Filoti, by car and must have with you foodstuffs and drinkable water. |
